About the Role
The Alberta Homeless Foundation (AHF) is seeking a Financial Analyst Intern to support planning and decision-making across our programs. This role focuses on building simple financial projections, tracking how funds are used across initiatives, and helping leadership understand what resources are needed to scale our impact responsibly. You will work closely with AHF leadership and the finance team to bring structure and clarity to budgets, forecasting, and reporting.
Requirements
Build and maintain basic financial projections for revenue and program expenses
Support budgeting for key initiatives, including care kit distribution and food distribution
Help track spending and summarize monthly financial activity in a clear format
Assist with simple dashboards or spreadsheets to monitor cash flow and program costs
Prepare clean, organized notes and summaries for leadership review
Communicate findings in plain language to support decision-making
Familiarity with spreadsheets is required
Experience in finance, economics, business, or analytics is an asset
Approximately 1 to 5 hours per week
