About the Role
The Alberta Homeless Foundation (AHF) is seeking a Program Lead to help coordinate and expand our food distribution initiatives while managing and growing our care kit distribution program. This role focuses on overseeing day-to-day logistics, supporting volunteer coordination, and strengthening partnerships to ensure timely, dignified, and effective distribution of essential resources. The Program Lead will work closely with AHF leadership to improve operational workflows, scale program reach, and support the long-term sustainability of AHF’s community programs.
Requirements
Coordinate and oversee AHF’s food distribution activities in partnership with community organizations
Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of food pickups and distributions
Manage and improve logistics for AHF’s care kit distribution program
Track inventory levels, supplies, and distribution needs across programs
Help develop standardized processes and workflows to support program growth
Coordinate volunteers and ensure clear communication for distribution activities
Identify opportunities to expand distribution reach and improve operational efficiency
Maintain basic program records and contribute to simple reporting or metrics tracking
Collaborate with AHF leadership to align program operations with organizational goals
Experience in logistics, community programs, or nonprofit operations is an asset
Approximately 10 hours/week
