About the Role
The Research Assistant powers Alberta Homeless Foundation’s evidence engine from conception to publication. Working with minimal oversight, they design and run PRISMA/PRISMA-ScR reviews, support REB submissions, coordinate community-based studies, and help translate findings into real interventional responses. They manage, clean data, produce rigorous analyses and visuals, and contribute writing that’s submission-ready—serving as a reliable collaborator who turns questions into impact for the communities we serve.
Requirements
Familiar with PRISMA and PRISMA-ScR guidelines, research ethics with humans (TCPS 2)
Recruits participants from underserved population
Comfortable working with minimal oversight and high initiative
Strong attention to detail throughout all tasks
Familiar with REB approvals and ethics processes
Experience across the research lifecycle: conception → protocol → data → analysis → publication
Community-based research focus with potential co-authorship/publication
Able to support research that informs/leads interventional responses
Collaborative team player; clear, timely communication
