About the Role

The Research Assistant powers Alberta Homeless Foundation’s evidence engine from conception to publication. Working with minimal oversight, they design and run PRISMA/PRISMA-ScR reviews, support REB submissions, coordinate community-based studies, and help translate findings into real interventional responses. They manage, clean data, produce rigorous analyses and visuals, and contribute writing that’s submission-ready—serving as a reliable collaborator who turns questions into impact for the communities we serve.

Requirements

  • Familiar with PRISMA and PRISMA-ScR guidelines, research ethics with humans (TCPS 2)

  • Recruits participants from underserved population

  • Comfortable working with minimal oversight and high initiative

  • Strong attention to detail throughout all tasks

  • Familiar with REB approvals and ethics processes

  • Experience across the research lifecycle: conception → protocol → data → analysis → publication

  • Community-based research focus with potential co-authorship/publication

  • Able to support research that informs/leads interventional responses

  • Collaborative team player; clear, timely communication
